Good but not great. I purchased the complete kit. It was my first mod. When I first got it I was impressed. Lots of vap.
After about three weeks a rubber seal in mine broke and fell out.
The device worked for a while but misfired 50-75% of the time without the seal. I kept using it as it was my only mod. Now it quit working totally.
Also while a screw driver is provided to change voltage, I do not really like carrying a small screw driver around. The case is very cheaply made and became threadbare within days of use.
The maker has a standard service charge of $28 bucks, plus 6.95 to ship it back to you, which means mine will just go into a drawer somewhere while I use another mod.

So far I love this mod. Its not the most solid of constructed mods, but it works great and the vari-volt is a nice option to have. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this mod. I recommend purchasing there volt meter so you dial in the volts you are looking for. I prefer 4.5 to 4.7 volts, so having the meter was helpful.

Overall a good mod. Not excellent. Like another poster I a small rubber seal in mine broke just after the warrenty expired. Like that poster I felt the standard rate repair plus shipping to be high. However, I was able to repair it myself, but I am lucky I have the needed tools. I do not like the tiny screw to change voltage. Some type of larger wheel like on Ken’s Var Volt mods would be better by far. The main switch is tiny and easy to activate, but after a few hours of vaping it feels hard on your finger to hold in. The Vape is wonderful. At all settings it always performed well.
Again a good mod. Would be Excellent if they solve the seal problem and work out a better repair rate.

Had issues with the atty misfiring from day one due to a loose fitting and the unit was getting really hot. Immediately sent email with no response (Tuesday). Three days later sent another email; vaprlife responded that I would get an answer. (Friday)

    None came.

Monday, all I got was a wise comment that my atty was shorting the Joker.

What does a short have to do with a loose fitting? I replied that the atty(s) all worked on other batteries.

Tuesday, I was told to return the unit for a repair. OH, I had to pay the postage and they would guarnatee a 5 day turnaround. AND I HAD TO PAY THE POSTAGE BOTH WAYS FOR A UNIT THAT WAS DEFECTIVE ON ARRIVAL.

It took them 6 days to get me an answer. 5 DAYS FOR A REPAIR? Fool me once……… I was done. Also had to pay restocking fee of 15%/

Snotty service, terrible product, and crap attitude. If you check the threads, you will see that I am not the only one.

I hate to take back my review but I have no choice. The Joker has died. Seems to have shorted out. I also had problems with the top section being loose. After trying several atties and cartos to see I could get it working the loose top section finally broke the wire connecting the batteries to the electronics. I have read several people having similiar problems and support being very poor. Look at other alternatives before choosing this mod.

I have had my Joker AV for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it! The appearance is really slick, nice color and finish, battery life is excellent I can take this to work with one set of batteries and be set all day. Vapor production is excellent! I get clouds on this unit! Very pleasant customer service as I had a few questions and they were very very quick. Def will do business with them again.

I seem to have the same experience as a few others. Worked great and I loved it, at first. Stopped working just after the warrenty expired. Impossiable to fix myself and the supplier’s flat rate repair cost is way too much, plus I would have to pay postage both ways,
Too bad, I really hoped for better, both in construction and service.
I urge any interested parties to buy a different mod.

I bought one of these about 4 months ago and was able to quit smoking! I have had no issues with this e-cig and it seems very well built (I have dropped it a few times) and it goes right back to work for me. I will be buying another e-cig soon from vaprlife seeing as how well the Joker performs.

A poorly made mod. Mine worked wonderfully for several weeks then died. Wrote to the maker and was told my cart’s must be defective and caused the mod to short out. Strange they work fine on 3 other mods I have. mine broke just as the warrenty ran out. The repair cost plus two way postage is way too high and since it will just short out again why bother?
I quickly found the tiny screwdriver needed to change voltage a pain ion the the butt, and the switch is tiny and hard.
Poorly made, poor customer service. I recommend anyone seeking a vari volt mod look elsewhere.

I am on my second Joker and pretty pleased. My first one just stopped working one day. I had it for just over a month and was able to get it repaired for free. The second issue was after a week (from getting it back repaired) the connector stopped working and I was unable to get the atty firing. Again I got a free repair and was also given a couple of free attys with it. I lost that unit after 3 months and bought another one. It’s been 2 months and so far no issues.

Unlike other people I have had no issue with support. I got a email generally the next day and a repaired unit back within 5 days. I’ll be getting another one at some point because again I have had great service with them and the unit is built well, small and light weight.

Bought this unit the first day it was on sale. Originally it was a FV 510 unit. I’m a heavy vaper and it only lasted 5 days. Sent it in for repair and had to leave town for a few weeks so when I came home, I had the package with a couple 810 attys an adaptor and a couple drip tips for my trouble. Never used the attys, but again it only lasted me about 5 days. Sent in for repair again, and this time it was gone a couple weeks. I was out of town again when it came back, and by the time I got home it was off warranty.

This time it was sporting the AV addon, I used it with the 801 atty this time and noticed it wasn’t getting as hot as it did with the 510 atty. I put it away for a while and only used it every once in a while. I broke it back out again a month ago and startted using a 510 atty on it, now the light has quit working on it, it still vapes but no light. I figure it’s just a matter of time before it quits all together again.

My conclusion is that there’s a design problem, it seems to be over heating and causing the malfunctions. Thus not saying much for their thermal protection. Too bad, cause I really liked this unit out of the box. Definately not worth the money spent.

Junk, stopped working just after the warrenty ran out. And have you looked at the repair cost? Gee Wiz.
Looks great and the light weight is cool. When it worked it was super. But since at the cost of the darn thing and how it broke so darn soon, it is just not worth it.
    Buy something else.

Overall I am disappointed with this device. While its appearance is lovely, I believe the technical design is flawed. I agree with the points made by Leo here. The unit overheats and that overheating causes internal problems that result in total failure of the mod.
I am surprised by the comments of one poster here, who said he liked the unit but also said it to be repaired twice. I believe any mod that twice fails and needs repairs is a very flawed mod. He also says the repair was free, however even “free” repairs require the customer to pay both ways postage. Two “free” repairs can actually be costly.
I urge anyone interested in this mod, skip it.

S#iT! My first mod and it is pure crap. Stopped working just after the warrenty ran out, and I am not a heavy user. And the repair cost plus two way postage is a joke. It ends up about $40. If I just add a little I can buy a dirrerent mod that does not break.
    Do Not Buy This Mod!

VaprLife has recently addressed the insulator issue by creating a 510 adjustable height fitting.

It is a great unit, after 4 months of normal use,the battery, spring, and bottom cap welded together, getting ready to ship it back for repair.HOPE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE kicks in,on this i dont mind paying for repair if they can repair it,or make it right on a new one again great unit, one thing i forgot to mention is that it was blowing out atomizers like crazy, even after the adjustment screw was turned down.

I just got my joker a few days ago, after getting the vp turbo. I like the mods so far, but had a bad experience with customer service when I bought a spade from them. This was a year ago and service was terrible, they told me it was my fault. We will see if any thing changes, its day one and its great. I will update with another review if possible.

They should really drop the repair cost and extend the warranty then I would be 5 stars all the way.
